Sex machine buyer's guide: how to choose

Stroke, speed and angle are different
Stroke is the distance the attachment travels. It is separate from attachment length: a long attachment on a short stroke still moves only through the machine's range. The connector question

- the connector type;

- which connector family replacement attachments must use; and
- how the attachment is secured and removed.
The Hismith Premium uses KlicLok; the adjustable 6-attachment machine uses its own jack-in connector. They are not interchangeable. Compatible KlicLok machines can also take a suction-cup adapter or Vac-U-Lock adapter.

Make room for the movement
Measure the whole setup, not only the motor housing. Allow for the base, moving arm or attachment, controller, cable and the person using it. Marking the footprint on the floor with removable tape is less glamorous than comparing speed modes, but much more useful.
