Air-pulse stimulators vs vibrators
Air-pulse stimulators and vibrators can sit on the same shelf and do very different jobs. One uses a soft opening and changing air pressure around the target area; the other puts a moving surface directly against the body.

What “air pulse” actually changes
Satisfyer calls its system Air Pulse Technology. Womanizer calls its version Pleasure Air Technology. Both manufacturers describe pulses or changes in air pressure delivered through a silicone opening positioned around the clitoral area. The soft rim still rests against the body; “contactless” refers to how the stimulation is delivered inside the opening, not a product hovering in mid-air.
A vibrator moves its head or body directly against the skin. A bullet concentrates that movement; a wand spreads it across a broad head. Moving the toy or altering pressure changes the contact.

Combination products need separate controls
Some products blur the two columns. That can be useful when the functions remain independently controllable.

Nozzle fit, cleaning and lubricant
For an air-pulse model, check whether the nozzle is removable and whether alternative sizes are included or available. Only remove parts when the manual says to. A small amount of compatible lubricant around the rim may help positioning on some models, but excess product can enter an opening; follow the exact instructions.
For either format, use the lubricant recommended for the product. Water based is a practical starting point for many toys, while silicone and hybrid formulas need a specific compatibility check with silicone and soft-touch surfaces.
Clean before and after use according to the manual. “Waterproof” and “water-resistant” are not the same, and an IP rating applies only as the manufacturer describes it. Keep water and cleaner out of openings that are not designed for submersion, allow every part to dry and make sure charging contacts are completely dry before use.
